Weekend Workshops

This 2 Day weekend course will cover brickwork for the garden including brick walls, planters and bases, however the content will be flexible. If there is something specific you would like to build within reason then please let us know before the start of the course.

This Introductory 2 day workshop is for anyone interested in learning the basic principals of Wall tiling. The course will include setting out and laying a course of tiles, cutting in around sockets, drilling, piping, different bonds and tile trims. It will also include adding a feature pattern. By the end of the course delegates should be competent in tiling a wall.

The aim of the course is to provide delegates with the correct level knowledge to operate a petrol driven cut off saw safely.

Course start time: 9am - 4pm

This introductory two day workshop is for anyone interested in learning the safe use and handling of power tools to assist in household joinery tasks, such as replacing internal door handles, locks and hinges and cutting/fitting skirting board and architrave.

Course finish time: 3pm

This introductory two-day workshop will teach you how to make a small table, using both hand tools and static machinery. The table can be taken home and used as either a coffee/occasional table or a child’s desk/table. You will learn a variety of woodworking joints and finishing techniques to create your finished piece.

Weekend introduction to painting & decorating

This introductory two day workshop is for anyone interested in learning the basic principals of plastering. At the end of the course, delegates should be competent in plaster boarding and skim finishing.
